Licensing

Kebony does not intend to reach its ambitious growth targets alone. Our strategy depends on a partnership concept where licensing is in the core.

Kebonys long-term objective is to build a world leading materials brand based on sound technology, manufacturing excellence, global sales and distribution, marketing and logistics. This holistic approach will enable all participants in the Kebony brand family to achieve superior returns on their investment. In the future, a Kebony plank made in the Norway, US or Australia will all look the same and have the same quality attributes. The local licensee will manufacture, market and sell products in their own markets, but also benefit from Kebony’s global sales and marketing initiatives to both the project market and the industrial markets that increasingly source globally.

The ultimate goal is to establish Kebony as an independent market leader both in geographical markets and specific segments. The key value driver will be to succeed in licensing the Kebony brand and technology to manufacturers operating in specific geographical markets or segments.

Kebony has a technology and production set-up that can be licensed. The product development process has gone through more than 10 years of thorough internal and external testing. The factory in Norway was designed with licensing in mind, is thoroughly documented and tested, and is ready to be “copied” to potential licensees.

Kebony has invested considerably in building the Kebony brand.  At the same time we are working continuously with optimising production processes and quality assurance. Thus both branding and technology together form vital elements of Kebony’s immaterial assets of the licensing platform.
For a licensee this ensures reproducibility of product quality and thereby access to our global project sales. Partners may also benefit from global marketing efforts as well as PR in local markets,  as the products meet the same standards independent of production site. Partners may also sell beyond their own capacity by calling on supply from other Kebony partners around the world.
